Chair

Chair is a reflection of selfhood, featuring special things, people & places as a romantic gesture of dedication. Whilst I am 25, living in a sharehouse, the bedroom is my central space and source of comfort within my home. Therefore, this piece has been decorated with all the comforts of memory & self. From the butcherbird my grandma would feed, that kept visiting us after she moved out of the house, to the shells my Nonna would collect off beaches that still sit around my home, to the name of my lover of almost 9 years. This painted chair is a representation of love, honouring symbols of the past that are tender to me to this day.
